The Faculty of Design actively participates in the Erasmus+ programme since the academic year 2007/2008. Currently our network involves over 50 signed Erasmus bilateral agreements and a very broad student and staff mobility.
Studying abroad as part of a degree will give the students an opportunity to gain new academic perspectives, establish an international network, return motivated and independent, improve their language skills and discover a new culture. Applications are welcome from students registered at any of the FD’s Erasmus or bi-lateral partners. Students should check with their home institutions to see if there is an agreement in place. Undergraduate students may apply for a mobility exchange during either Autumn or Spring semester. Students should be nominated first through the International department at the sending institution. Applications should be made to one of the following FD departments:
Autumn semester: October – mid February
Spring semester: mid February – mid July
Home institution has to nominate the student by sending an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org with the following information:
Once nominated by their home institution, students will be sent an e-mail with a detailed description of the application procedure and links to all the necessary documents.
Compulsory documents that should be sent after the nomination by mail and by ordinary post are:
According to the documents sent, the selection procedure will follow. We can not guarantee that all the applicants will be accepted. The application is completed by filling out the student application form and sending in the compulsory documents by mail and ordinary post:
Deadline for 1 semester (Autumn) applications: JUNE 1
Deadline for 2 semester (Spring) applications: DECEMBER 1

The students’ academic performance is in general assessed as either Passed, Failed of Not Attended. Grades for examinations are awarded according to a graded scale from 10 (highest) to 5 (lowest), with 6 as the minimum pass grade.
Courses are measured in credits according to the ECTS standard. The full-time workload for one academic year is 60 ECTS and for one semester 30 ECTS.
English is a commonly used language in Slovenia. The majority of our teachers studied abroad, so they know how to adjust the program and knowledge for the Erasmus+ incoming students. We are constantly participating in international projects, workshops taught by foreign guest lecturers, so English is quite often used and there will be no problem for students to integrate.
For those who are interested in learning Slovene language (Erasmus Intensive Language Course – EILC) they can apply at
